Be A Better You - Resolutions 2022
Hello Luv,
Ok, so here we are, more than halfway through the first month of 2022. How are you doing? Where do you stand with your New Year’s resolution?
Statistics show that for those who make a New Year’s resolution, 64% are still successful in keeping it after one month.
The 36% failure factor is probably why some people shy away from making resolutions.
Resolutions are good for you. Some statistics show that 46% of people who make resolutions are still successful in keeping it after six months. Compared to those with similar goals but do not set a resolution, only 4% are still successful after six months.
Setting resolutions is simply setting goals for yourself. Like goal setting, making a resolution requires a plan to achieve your desire and retain it. One of the primary reasons people fail to achieve their goals is that they are unrealistic.
The good news is that there isn’t a wrong time to set goals for your hair, but we must be SMART about it.
To be SMART about your hair is to be:
Specific – commit to what you want to achieve - strong, hydrated hair.
Measurable - find ways to be accountable, like performing monthly length and elasticity checks.
Achievable - is it possible? A consult with your stylist, including a trim or a cut, is a good reality check.
Relevant - does it make sense? Make healthy hair meaningful in your life.
Time-bound - commit the necessary time to clarify, masque, and deep treat your hair with heat weekly.
The great news is that you can give yourself grace along the way!!! Being a better you is a dynamic life adventure. If you have fallen off, use your setback as an opportunity to assess and redirect to SMART.
Whatever your resolutions are, self-care better be at the top of the list as it leads to success in every area of your life, and healthy hair is definitely on the list.
Setting SMART goals for achieving healthy, bouncy, shiny, luscious curls requires following a regimen-driven hair care routine at home.
